ABOUT SARKER DANCEWORKS
Sarker Danceworks is a dance and fitness school based in Winchester, Hampshire, offering both group and one to one Dance and Fitness classes for Adults and experienced young adults along with some additional classes for children.
Nurturing the soul and enjoyment of dancing is at the heart of what we do. - We believe that is what dancing is all about - feeling the music and feeling alive in the moment.

If you are an Adult wanting to come to dance class we believe and support that it is never too late to start and/or never too late to come back to dancing if it is a skill you used to pursue as a child. If you are a young adult who is experienced in dancing and misses taking a challenging class for you then Sarker Danceworks is your place - You are NOT forgotten, there are classes for you here!

If you are a parent/guardian of a younger dancer and are seeking some supportive training to help them progress either towards a professional career or simply gain more experience in movement then Viki would absolutely love the opportunity to work with them.
Whether a student, no matter their age, is training for a career in performing arts or just coming along for fun, the LOVE and PASSION for dancing is shared between us all. Passion and love is always at the heart of our teaching. We believe that dancing is for every body and everybody. We believe letting the soul be free through dance and performing is a beautiful release and the start of something truly magical. ​

Since a young age Viki has always loved to keep busy, active and thrives on a challenge. Viki has over 20 years experience in the dance and performing arts industry and has been teaching dance and fitness classes for around 10 years. Viki is a 2 times world champion Tap dancer, performing both in Germany and America and teaches a variety of dance and fitness classes across Hampshire and holds a Level 4 Diploma in Dance Education in ISTD Tap and Modern dance. Her passion for teaching dance and fitness then lead to her gaining her Level 3 personal training qualification so she could also lead 1 to 1 personal training sessions. Viki has always loved dance, fitness and performing.
Viki ran a marathon this year and goes outdoor swimming all year round as a hobby, she is now focusing on building Sarker Danceworks and nurturing self - belief in each individual.

Viki, is principal of Sarker Danceworks and has recently taken over the Tap and Modern part of Sally Stanyards School of dance. Since this amazing opportunity Viki is keen to build these classes as well as Street, Commercial, Contemporary and Jazz dance under the Sarker Danceworks umbrella. Sally Stanyard continues to offer Ballet and Drama at Sally Stanyards School of Dance and Drama, you can find these classes on the timetable as well as how to book in for a trial.
Viki is so excited to be building Sarker Danceworks and to be working alongside Sally Stanyards School of Dance and Drama.

Having been trained as a student by both Viki and Sally, Nellie prides her teaching ethos on what she has learnt from her own teachers. Nellie has a had a love of dancing and performing for as long as she can remember, and her passion to teach has recently inspired her to start a Primary Education degree course at the University of Winchester which she is currently completing.
Nellie is first aid trained and DBS checked. She has worked hard to gain her Advanced Foundation in RAD Ballet, and Intermediate in ISTD Modern and Tap, but is currently working on furthering these qualifications. Nellie also enjoys outdoor swimming, yoga, and cycling when she gets some down-time from her busy day-to-day life.
Nellie is thrilled to be assisting Viki in building Sarker Danceworks, and knows first hand how beneficial the nurturing and self-expressive environment Viki and Sally create can be
Abi has been dancing since the age of four, studying a variety of genres such as; Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre and Commercial. Abi graduated in 2023 with a First Class BA (hons) degree in dance from the University of Winchester, which focused predominantly in Contemporary and Jazz dance, during which she worked with a number of industry professionals.
Throughout her years as a dancer she has performed with companies such as the English Youth Ballet and Avant Garde Dance Company; she has also had the honour of performing onstage at the O2 arena.
Abi says that being in the industry has taught her just how unique and special every individual is, dance has also shown her the importance of self love and inner belief, these are qualities that Abi wants to inspire and bestow in the upcoming generations of dancers.

Abi will be teaching baby classes and Children's Jazz classes at Sarker Danceworks.

STUDENT, YOUNG ADULT DANCERS AND CHILDRENS CLASSES
ISTD - Modern & Tap (Grade 6 at current)
Free work classes - Commercial & Contemporary on a weekly basis for ages 16+
Musical theatre and Jazz workshops are sometimes led as pop up classes

Viki is DDE Qualified and can teach Tap, Ballet, Modern, Street, Commercial, Contemporary Pointe. She can teach ISTD Tap and modern up until Advanced 2 level and can also enter students in for exams if requested.
